ETTORE "TED" DeGRAZIA WIND TAMERS CERAMIC BELL: "Bell Of Hope," Late 1970s, Hand Painted (not by Ted), Like New/Unused in original packing paper and R.B. Enterprises DeGrazia box, out of production, authorized by DeGrazia's Gallery In The Sun, the main bell is 5 inches long and 3 3/4 inches in diameter, when hanging it's roughly 15 1/2 inches from the top strap loop to the bottom of the ceramic clapper piece. The relief images are of a Native American girl ringing a bell on one side and the other side shows a bird's nest with two eggs and some small sunbursts. The main clapper is white ceramic and the hanging ceramic piece off the clapper has a relief painted image of two birds by a bell. The initials "SJ" are from the artist who painted the bell. Incidentally, the people advertising these as signed by DeGrazia are either completely stupid or really bad liars. The two DeGrazia signatures you see are etched into the ceramic (you can see and feel it) and are simply painted over by the color artist for the bell, in this case SJ. If you happen to see a third inked signature, then you may have the real deal. Otherwise, it's a pile of horse poop these sellers are shoveling your way. Includes a Wind Tamers card with a photo of Ted on one side (shown). See bell and card  $25

JAPANESE CLAM SHELL NETSUKE DIORAMA: Late-1960s, beside a bit of dust in the back recesses, it is Like New/As Made - nothing broken or missing, one duck is listing to the side, but that is how it was manufactured, this ornate miniature diorama is made from multiple forms of plastic, size 3 inches wide by 2.25 inches deep by 2 inches tall (without base), it features an open clam shell design with two dragons facing each other on the top outer shell, the interior scene is of a home under a tree by a river side, the water wheel on the house spins, a couple stands in front looking at a boat in the water with two ducks by the river edge, a man is crossing the bridge that leads to the house. This diorama was mass produced in Japan, but it turns up with many variations: some hand painted (many different color combinations), some not painted, some with faux patina aging, the scene can have or be missing the boat, the couple, the ducks or the man on the bridge, the water wheel can spin or be fixed, and the shell top can have one or two dragons. This particular diorama has all the scene elements, a unique color scheme, the water wheel turns, two dragons on top, and it comes with the original 2 1/4 x 2 7/8 inch black finished wood base. See clam shell  $25

PLAYING CARD DECK WITH 1940 US INTERNAL REVENUE 1 PACK PLAYING CARDS STAMP with U.S. P.C. Co. OVERPRINT: Scott #RF29, Rotary Press Coil Stamp that was in use from 1940 to 1965, stamp is still on the sealed pack of playing cards, cards are sealed with the old style wax paper wrapper, an approximately one half inch tear is on the pack edge. Card back design is a green and white house with a brown flower overlay made by the United States Playing Card Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. A reliable way to date decks made by the USPCC is the dating code printed on the ace of spades at the time it was manufactured. Since this pack is still sealed, it's not possible to do that. It is believed that this pack comes from the 1950s, but that is simply a best guess based on the other items it was found with. Nice item for either a stamp or vintage playing card collector. VAUGHN'S STERLING SILVER COWBOY HAT ASHTRAY SET: Late 1950s, Set of 3, Very Good condition with some tarnish on the larger hats and a lot less on the smaller one (some silver polish and elbow grease may restore full shine, but even as is they look nice), the edges have some out of place bends that may also be cured with a bit of force, both larger hats have a hallmark with "VAUGHN'S STERLING" imprint on the bottom, while the smaller hat is plain. Larger hats roughly measure 5.5 x 4.75 x 2 inches with 6.0 and 6.2 ounce weights, and the smaller hat is 3 5/8 x 3 x 1 3/8 inches, weighing 2.7 ounces. Total silver weight of 14.9 ounces with sterling purity by definition as .925 or 92.5%. Vaughn's produced a number of different Southwestern designed sterling silver items in the fifties and sixties. While I've seen these listed as "vintage decorative silver hats," and they certainly are, they were also functional items back when cigarette smoking was in its heyday. Travel back to the good ol' days when you put your butt out on sterling silver instead of slag metal. See hats  All 3 for $310
