Hardback, As New, #113/500, First Edition, First Printing, 1991, Kitchen Sink Press, ISBN: 0-87816-151-1, size 8.75 x 11.25 inches, 160 pages plus endpapers, O/P. Reprints the 1955 to 1958 newspaper comic strip adventures of "a baseball natural." Most of the strip reproductions in this book were shot directly from Gotto's own proofs, so quality is high on the line art. Entertaining reading for hardcore baseball fans and old-timers who enjoyed the game "back in the day." Signed and numbered book plate by Ray Gotto is attached to the front endpaper, only 500 copies printed. Gotto died on December 28, 2003 at age 87. Introduction by Max Allan Collins. DAYTON DUCKS BASEBALL TICKET STUB: Dayton Ducks used original ticket stub, Brooklyn Game , August 13, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio, Box 60A Seat 4. The seat price was a buck!!! Size 1 5/8 x 2 1/4 inches. Ticket back is blank. Using card grading, this would be Fr/G predominantly due to black paper stuck to the back where this ticket was removed from a photo album. The Dayton Ducks were a minor league baseball team that played in the Middle Atlantic League from 1933–1942. They were affiliated with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1934. HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS 1972 PROGRAM: VG: Overall this would be a VF+ copy, but two detractors drop it 2 grades in condition and price - there is a half inch square tape residue mark on page one where a ticket stub was held in place and the stub created a rectangular impression on the front cover. Also, the final score "Harlem Globetrotter 83, Boston Shamroc 71" is neatly written on the upper right corner of page one. 32 page program from the Globetrotters 1972 season with bios and photos on the team including greats like Meadowlark Lemon, Curly Neal, Geese Ausbie, Showboat Hall, Bobby Joe Mason, Jerry Venable, and many others - even Granny and Dribbles from the Hanna-Barbera cartoon are listed! Short history piece on the team and a two-page piece on Fred "Curly" Neal. Many B&W, color and colorized photos throughout. As a bonus, you will get the actual ticket stub to the February 2, 1972 game at the University of Arizona's Bear Down Gym where this program was obtained. Ticket front features a drawings of the Coliseum and the back shows a diagram of the stadium. Using card grading, this would be Fr/G predominantly due to a crease and black paper stuck to the back where this ticket was removed from a photo album. Rare college football artifact. ORANGE BOWL 1939 FOOTBALL TICKET STUB: Fifth Annual Orange Bowl Classic used original ticket stub (not a reproduction!), January 2, 1939 at Burdine Stadium in Miami, Florida, North Stand, Section HH, Row 30 Seat 12. The seat set you back $4.40 and kick-off was at 2:30 p.m. to see what ended up as the Tennessee Volunteers defeating the Oklahoma Sooners 17-0. Size 4 x 2.75 inches. Ticket front features drawings of classic leather helmeted players and the back shows a diagram of the North Stands side of the stadium where this seat was located. Using card grading, this would be G/VG predominantly due to two glue spots on the back created when this stub was removed from a photo album. A true bit of college football history. 1963-64 NEW YORK RANGERS TEAM SIGNED HOCKEY PROGRAM COVER: 1963-64 New York Rangers vs. Boston Bruins hockey program front cover containing 16 autographs, including four Hockey Hall of Fame inductees, one HHOF honoree, and sadly, 10 deceased NHL players. The cover is roughly 8 x 10 inches and was cut in an irregular fashion (you can see the entire piece edge to edge in the scan). The cover was folded in eighths prior to 1969, but since then has remained stored flat. It is hand signed in blue ballpoint pen ink by the following 16 members of the 1963-64 New York Rangers Hockey Team (in alphabetical order): Andy Bathgate (HOF, died 2016), Larry Cahan (died 1992), Marc Dufour (died 2015), Val Fonteyne, Rod Gilbert (HOF, died 2021), Howie Glover (died 2021), Phil Goyette, Vic Hadfield, Camille Henry (#21 pictured on cover, died 1997), Harry Howell (HOF, died 2019), Earl Ingarfield, Don Marshall, Don McKenney (died 2022), Mike McMahon Jr. (died 2013), Sal Messina (HOF), and Jacques Plante (HOF, died 1986). Sal "Red Light" Messina is a Hockey Hall of Fame honoree as a NHL Broadcast Analyst, but he was actually a back-up goalie for the Rangers at the time! The Andy Bathgate signature is slightly trimmed, but all autographs are very legible and clean. My uncle obtained these signatures after a game at Madison Square Garden during the 1963-64 season and I was given this piece from him in 1969. It has remained in my collection until today. Now, it’s up to some hardcore Rangers or Hockey fan to give it a new home. 16 total autographs, including the rare and highly desirable Jacques Plante signature. See cover $595

1972 UNITED STATES XX OLYMPIAD STERLING SILVER PROOF MEDALS: Set of 3 Medals/Rounds, Issued in 1972 by the Franklin Mint, .925 Sterling Silver, 1 ounce each and 1.5 inches in diameter, obverses feature Diver at the 1971 VI Pan-American Games in Cali, Columbia; Downhill Skier at the 1972 XI Olympic Winter Games in Sapporo, Japan; and Track Hurdler at the 1972 XX Olympic Games in Munich, Germany. ARIZONA/SOUTHWEST PRO WRESTLING SIGNED PROGRAM: World Wide Wrestling Alliance one page program from Sunday, May 10, 1970 in Tucson, Arizona at the Tucson Sports Center, paper condition is very good with corners and edges still sharp, a slight stain is visible on the upper right back corner (nowhere near any of the autographs and with very minimal bleed through to the front), it was trimmed and folded in half in 1970. While it has been stored flat for over 45 years, there is still some slight curvature to the page. Six matches are listed with the winner's name of each match underlined in pen. The program was signed with blue ink pen in person by wrestlers Tito Montez (died January 30, 2013), Arman Hussian (born Mike Barber, died December 31, 2007), Eddie Lopez (born Al Romero, died July 24, 2012), Marilyn Bender (listed as "Margret"), Bobby Collins, Don Shark, and an unknown. Montez, Bender and Hussian are pictured. Cliff Haynes, who was a KZAZ-TV announcer for local wrestling matches, also signed. Other names on the card that night include, Bearcat Wright, Kiko Torres, El Diablo, Jody Arnold, Patty Stevens, Spike Jones, Sweet Daddy Watts, Ron Pritchard, and Wayne Coleman. GULFSTREAM PARK 1939 RACETRACK TICKET: Season Complimentary Grand Stand used original ticket stub from 1939, the first year the race track opened, in Hallandale, Florida. Size 3.75 x 2.5 inches. Ticket front features a drawing of a jockey on horseback riding through a lucky horseshoe and the back lists Conditions. Using card grading, this would be Fr/G predominantly due to brown paper stuck to the back where this ticket was removed from a photo album and "Mrs. T. Johnston" written on the front. Since 1939, Gulfstream Park has been one of the most important venues for horse racing in the country.
