MEISSEN HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN AND SILVER PENDANT: Excellent condition, the blue factory mark crossed swords with the dot between the top of the blades dates this between 1924 and 1934. It was obtained in the very early 1950s. Made in Germany by Meissen Porcelain, this pendant features a design with twin birds (possibly stylized peacocks or pheasants) facing each other, measures 1 3/8" in diameter, and the total weight is 0.5 ounces (15 grams). The design was used later in the century by Meissen with a color pattern of various hues of red. This is a far more attractive early version with the hand painted porcelain exhibiting a multi-color pallet. Under the Factory Mark on the back are some faint red marks fired into the porcelain; one is the number "9." The porcelain is mounted in a silver ring, some sources say Meissen used .900 fine silver on the framing rings, but there is no indication of purity stamped into the silver. The 19 inch chain is .835 fine silver and is stamped on the link attached to the ring clasp. A beautiful vintage piece of jewelry from Meissen that may soon be closing in on the century mark, unworn since 1975. See pendant  $350

NAVAJO VINTAGE HANDMADE JEWELRY

NAVAJO COPPER CUFF BRACELETS: 1960s, pair of two Navajo design solid copper cuff bracelets, excellent condition, no exterior scratches or marring, southwestern beaded design with scalloped edges, combined weight is roughly one ounce (29 grams), 2 3/8 inches at the widest point side to side. Copper is malleable so there is some give on the fit, but if 2 1/4 inches is a tight fit for you, I would not get these to wear. If you are a vintage (over 50 years old) Native American jewelry collector or you believe in the anti-inflammatory pain reducing properties of copper, this pair is great for you. Unused since 1975. See bracelets  Both for $30

NAVAJO STERLING SILVER CONCHA PIN: 1960s, Handmade Navajo Sterling Silver Round Concha (some say Concho) Pin, excellent condition with minor natural tarnishing from age in spots, 2 3/16 inches in diameter, stamped "Sterling" on the back, approximate weight 0.6 ounces (16 grams), hinge pin with safety catch. Concha pins were predominantly used as saddle adornments, but later found their way into fashion as clips for zarapes and onto other apparel. This nice vintage Native American example is a minimum of 50 years old, unworn since 1975. See pin  $45

NAVAJO TURQUOISE AND SILVER CUFF BRACELET: 1960s, Handmade Navajo Silver (purity unmarked) Cuff Bracelet, excellent condition with minor natural tarnishing from age most visible on the inside cuff, stone secure, "CM" hallmark, which could be Calvin Mariano or Clifford Monroe (whoever the Navajo silversmith is, they would be at least 75 years old now), 2 3/16 inches long with a large 7/8 x 1 1/4 inch turquoise gemstone, inside cuff measurement is 2 1/8 inches across, uneven inside finish but still smooth to the touch, total weight 2.5 ounces (71 grams). NAVAJO SILVER WATCH BAND TIPS: 1960s, Handmade Navajo Woman's Watch Band Tips, excellent condition with minor natural tarnishing from age most visible on the back side, "J.C.Y." hallmark (Juan Chief Yellowhorse) on both tips, watch tips are roughly 1 1/8 inch long by 5/8 inch wide, comes with 3 inch expansion band and a woman's Caravelle watch, "Stainless Steel Back Base Metal Bezel M9" hallmark on watch back, crystal unscratched. Watch is still keeping time, but there is no warranty on it. The focus here is the Native American craftsmanship on the band tips. Chief Juan Yellowhorse was from the Towering House People Clan in Arizona. He owned and operated his own trading post from 1960 until his death in 1999. The tips are two-toned, silver backing with gold colored leaves. While it is my firm belief that these tips are silver, I have not verified it. The gold colored element could be plated silver or it could be brass or some other non-precious metal. I am listing this only as vintage Handmade Navajo jewelry verified by maker's mark, unworn since the 1990s. See watch tips 1  See watch tips 2  $190

NAVAJO SILVER WATCH BAND TIPS: 1960s, Handmade Navajo Woman's Watch Band Tips, excellent condition, "SC" in a circle hallmark (unable to identify the Navajo silversmith yet) on both tips, watch tips are roughly 7/8 inch long (not including the loop to the watch) by 1/2 inch at widest point, comes with 3 inch expansion band and a woman's Amida Incabloc Swiss Watch, "10K R. G. P. Bezel Stainless Steel Back" plus hallmark on watch back. R.G.P. means Rolled Gold Plate, basically plated gold on base metal. Watch runs slow, obviously no warranty on it. The focus here is the Native American craftsmanship on the band tips. Each tip has a turquoise stone and coral piece with a feather design, stones are secure. While it is my firm belief that these tips are sterling silver (they originate from the above Navajo silver collection), there is no purity mark and I have not had them professionally tested (they pass the magnet test). I am listing this only as vintage Handmade Navajo jewelry with a maker's mark, unworn since 1975. See watch tips 1  See watch tips 2  $145

NAVAJO SILVER AND TURQUOISE WATCH BAND TIPS: 1960s, Handmade Navajo Woman's Watch Band Tips, very good condition - loops connecting to watch have been opened and closed, no hallmark, watch tips are 1 1/4 inches long from loop to loop and 1/2 inch at the widest point, total weight is roughly 8 grams, comes with a 2 inch expansion band (not included in weight). Native American craftsmanship on the band tips with each tip containing a small turquoise stone and a feather design, stones are secure. While it is my firm belief that these tips are silver (they originate from the above Navajo silver collection), there is no purity mark and I have not had them professionally tested (they pass the magnet test). I am bargain listing them as vintage Handmade Navajo jewelry, unworn since 1975. See watch tips  $45

PUEBLO or NAVAJO CORAL AND SILVER PENDANT AND EARRINGS SET: 1970s, Handmade Laguna Pueblo or Navajo Sterling Silver with Coral Pendant and matching Earrings Set, excellent condition with exceptionally minor natural tarnishing from age, stones secure, "AP Sterling" hallmark on all backs, Antoinette Platero is the silversmith whose elongated "AP" hallmark most closely matches these pieces. While she is the most likely candidate as artisan based on hallmark, it's not a sure thing. Annabelle Peterson, a Navajo silversmith, is also the possible creator, as the jewelry style appears more Navajo than Pueblo. Either would have to be in their 60s or older by now. The pendant is roughly 1 3/8 inches long with a 1/2 inch coral oval set in the piece and comes on an 18 inch silver chain. The matching earrings are roughly 1 3/4 inches long (including the beaded loops). Approximate total weight for the set is 0.4 ounces (12 grams). Despite the uncertainty of the hallmark, this set is a beautiful piece of vintage handmade Native American jewelry, unworn since 1975. See set  All for $225
