BARBARA BATES ARCADE CARD: Starlet Arcade Vending Card, NM, Issued circa-late 1950s, size 3 3/8 x 5 3/8 inches, blank back, "Printed in U.S.A." on bottom front right of card, sepia toned photo of Barbara Bates posing in a two-piece bathing suit. Printed by ESCO (Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago, IL). Barbara was a 1940s and ‘50s actress best known for her roles in "All About Eve," "Cheaper By The Dozen" and "Let’s Make it Legal." Prior to acting, she worked as a cheesecake model posing for magazines like Yank, The Army Weekly and Life. She died in 1969. See card $6

Includes four photos of Ed with Ringo, George, John and Paul, Cab Calloway, behind the scenes shot of Ed on the phone in front of a cue card, and kids in the audience. See set All for $10
BELMONT RACE TRACK POST CARDS/BUTTON LOT: Lot of 5 different Paul Art Press post cards, all color, all unused, average condition is NM-, size 5.5 x 3.5 inches, issued circa-1969, out of print, cards show the 1968 rebuilt stands, thoroughbred foal with NYRA symbol, and 3 shots of thoroughbred horses being lead through paddocks and walking rings. LESLIE BROOKS ARCADE CARD: Starlet Arcade Vending Card, NM, Issued circa-late 1950s, size 3 3/8 x 5 3/8 inches, blank back, "Printed in U.S.A." on bottom front right of card, sepia toned cheesecake photo of Leslie Brooks posing in a short skirt. Printed by ESCO (Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago, IL). Leslie was a leading lady in Hollywood low-budgeters of the 1940's and starred in the 1948 film noir classic, "Blonde Ice." She died in 2011. GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK 20 VIEW PRINT PAK: Roughly 4.25 x 3 inch mini post card souvenir from 1969, cards average NM condition, all color. The slipcase sleeve these come is in Ex/M condition, only one minor corner ding. The 20 cards show various shots of the canyon from the rim, also the Kaibab suspension bridge and the Watchtower. Published by Fred Harvey. Included with this is a late 1960s period, Ex/M, 5.5 x 3.5 inch, Mirro-Krome/Crocker post card of the canyon at sundown. All over 50 years old! Images are of 16 different rooms in The Hermitage in Leningrad, Russia. Some show paintings, sculpture, pottery, furniture, or just the ornate beauty of the room or hall by itself. HOTEL ARGONNE LIMA, OHIO POST CARD: VG: some cancellation marks on front, Postmarked June 11, 1924, Lima, Ohio, 1¢ George Washington stamp, size approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches, colorized, shows the hotel with a vintage automobile in front. The Argonne was built in 1919, so it was only 5 years old when this post card was mailed. It still stands and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Printed by ESCO (Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago, IL). Cleouna Moore was a 1950s B-movie star who aptly filled the role of buxom blonde. Cleo excelled at "bad girl" and "women’s prison" movie roles. She died in 1973 and has quite a cult following. See card $8

MOTELS, HOTELS and RESTAURANTS POST CARDS: Lot of 22 different post cards, average Ex/M- condition, all unused, circa 1966-70, size 5.5 x 3.5 inches. 6 from Arizona, 7 from California, 4 from New Mexico, 2 from Virginia, 1 each from Texas, Utah and Washington. If any of these buildings are still standing, they are probably no longer carrying the names on these cards. Here's a trip back in time when the big push was "Color TV," "Heated Pools" and "Free Coffee." Classic cars shown on a lot of them. Great examples are the Astro Motel (how space age!) in Barstow, Top's Motel in Anaheim (bikini babes by the pool), and the Aku Aku Motel in Woodland Hills (Polynesian decor with refrigerated air conditioning and hi-fi music provided!). She did most of her work in the 1960s on TV, including appearing in "The Outer Limits," "Honey West," "I Spy," "Perry Mason," "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," "Laramie," "The Fugitive," and many other shows. Printed by ESCO (Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago, IL). Donna was a well-known film actress in the 1940s and 1950s, appearing in the classics "It's A Wonderful Life" and "From Here To Eternity." She made her mark in American TV from 1958-66 as the star of "The Donna Reed Show." She was both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award Winner, as well as a multiple Emmy nominee. Donna died in 1986. SHIRLEY TEMPLE PROMO CARD: 20th Century-Fox Original Promotional Card, Issued circa-early 1940s, VF condition with an exceptionally fine crease near the top border (honestly does not detract from the appearance, but I have to mention it), Size 3.25 x 6 inches, Sepia tone with light coloration added, facsimile signature on front reads: love, Shirley Temple. Shirley is wearing riding gear and holding a crop behind her back. The back of the card contains a "Dear Friend" note from Shirley with another facsimile signature. Old process colorized artist renderings over B&W photos, inside there is a brief history of Warren and a map with its proximity to New York. Aunt Vida has written a few lines on the inside flap.
