RENO ACES AAA BASEBALL PROGRAM: April 11 - 14, 2014, VF/NM (all manufactured this way!), 5.5 x 8.5 inch, 8 page, full color glossy program from the 4 day special "Triple-A Showdown" at Kino Stadium in Tucson, Arizona held from April 11 - 14, 2014. Both the El Paso Chihuahuas (Tucson Padres) and the Reno Aces (Tucson Sidewinders) once called TEP/Kino Stadium their home. Now, these AAA affiliates for the San Diego Padres and the Arizona Diamondbacks, respectively, are located in other states. The program features the complete rosters of both teams for this one-off series. You can consider these an "UER" because the front cover has reversed the AAA logos with their MLB affiliates - OOPS! HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS 1972 PROGRAM: VG: Overall this would be a VF+ copy, but two detractors drop it 2 grades in condition and price - there is a half inch square tape residue mark on page one where a ticket stub was held in place and the stub created a rectangular impression on the front cover. Also, the final score "Harlem Globetrotter 83, Boston Shamroc 71" is neatly written on the upper right corner of page one. 32 page program from the Globetrotters 1972 season with bios and photos on the team including greats like Meadowlark Lemon, Curly Neal, Geese Ausbie, Showboat Hall, Bobby Joe Mason, Jerry Venable, and many others - even Granny and Dribbles from the Hanna-Barbera cartoon are listed! Short history piece on the team and a two-page piece on Fred "Curly" Neal. Many B&W, color and colorized photos throughout. As a bonus, you will get the actual ticket stub to the February 2, 1972 game at the University of Arizona's Bear Down Gym where this program was obtained. 1974 NEW YORK YANKEES YEARBOOK with 1974 SCOREBOOK & OFFICIAL MAGAZINE and TICKET STUB: 1974, Yearbook VG/F with Mel Allen flexi-disc intact but it has a noticeable bend, 72 pages, caricatures of Munson and Mercer by Hartwell on cover, full color and B&W spreads for the current team including Thurman Munson, Mel Stottlemyre, Bobby Mercer, Chris Chambliss, Sparky Lyle, Roy White, Lou Piniella, Graig Nettles, Ron Blomberg, and many others, most with facsimile autographs included. Whitey Ford and Elston Howard pictured coaches. Team player stats are also featured. Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford inducted into Cooperstown article. 1974 Scorebook appears VF/NM+ but there is a piece of yellowed tape on page 1 that held the ticket stub in place and the scorecard is marked in pencil only in the total rows, 36 pages. If you are interested, the Yanks shutout the Red Sox, 8 to 0. There's a piece on the Mantle and Ford HOF induction, as well as featuring them on the cover. PHOENIX ROADRUNNERS WHL PROGRAM: from the week of October 3 - 10, 1972, VG+: "*" by cover date, manufactured off-fold, includes a separate "Understanding Hockey" insert page, Western Hockey League Official Program from the October 6th game versus the Denver Spurs held in the Tucson Community Center; writing in centerfold by players names indicating goals and assists, with saves (game ended in a 3-3 tie) and total attendance (4,101). Players on both the Roadrunners and Spurs teams had time in the NHL and WHA. On a non-sport note, the events calendar shows concerts by Cat Stevens, Merle Haggard, Robert Goulet & Carol Lawrence, Savoy Brown, Waylon Jennings, Cheech & Chong, Jimmy Dean, Elton John, Vikki Carr, John Mayall, and Elvis Presley!!!
